Who can not take Chlorine Dioxide?

Excerpt: COMUSAV Conference of 30.Oct.2021
Karla Revollo, Dr. Manuel Aparicio

(Karla):
What are the contraindications of CDS? If there is one, doctor.

(Manuel):
Well, we must start here from the premise that people who suffer from favism or glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency cannot receive on paper, in scientific theory, any type of oxidative therapy, because their cells do not have the capacity to counteract the oxidizing effect.

However, we have the report of families who, once they heard one of the COMUSAV conferences, contacted us dismayed because they were taking chlorine dioxide and what its repercussions could be. One of those families had laboratory studies done and there were no repercussions on their laboratory studies.

So on paper favism or glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency is the absolute contraindication for dioxide. In practice, it may be that we see something else, this would have to be investigated more thoroughly and see more patients with this pathology and monitor them.

And there are two situations in which you have to have, no, there is no contraindication if there is no extra precaution in the consumption of chlorine dioxide.

First, those insulin-dependent diabetic patients, since dioxide can potentiate the effect of insulin and cause hypoglycemia.

So, these patients need to check their glucose levels very well and have a super strict diet.

And in the other condition is, in those patients who are taking anticoagulants, specifically the type of acenocoumarin or warfarin that prolong the INR; they have to be monitoring their clotting times. Introduce the dioxide gradually and in the same way decrease the anticoagulants to reach a perfect dose of dioxide and anticoagulant; keeping an INR where we want to keep it. Long but not overly long.

(Karla):
Well doctor, thank you very much. Beyond these two recommendations made by the doctor, and also favism, which is, in theory, the pathology in which chlorine dioxide could not be used, but so far, the exercise that has been done with two families , because it has only come out positive. In addition to these points, well, in everything else, we could say doctor, that: could the CDS only help the person's condition, since it oxygenates?

 (Manuel):
Undoubtedly, due to its oxidizing and oxygenating power: it alkalizes and oxygenates the pericellular pH, so it will help. We already know and its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory power has been demonstrated in scientific studies.

So in pathologies, for example specifically viruses, bacteria, fungi and some smaller parasites, it will eradicate them completely and in other pathologies, it will be an adjuvant such as anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory.

So, it will not harm us at all, knowing how to manage the correct doses and routes of administration.
